New Scalextric Escort livery
And now a close look at the newest livery of Scalextric Ford Escort, C2757 Ford Escort Colibri.

I bought the first release, but now I am awaiting some road racing versions. The Escort was nearly as successful as a touring car as it was as a rally car.
I like these little cars. Though I don't have the connection that the rest of the world does. I've seen from vintage footage that they were the car to beat in many forms of racing...but as a typical 'Merican I don't have ANY first hand knowledge of this...sad to say.
Well, I can't claim to have much in the way of a personal connection either. I am simply obsessed with european and british touring car racing of the sixties and seventies for no explicable reason.
