HRH Prince Carl Philip of Sweden spent the Swedish national day, June 6, on the city race arena in Gothenburg, Sweden, participating in the STCC Gothenburg City Race. During two days, drivers compete in four classes: STCC, Camaro Cup, JTCC and Carrera Cup. The prince inherited his interest in motor sports from his father, but also his godfather and uncle, Prince Bertil, whose passion for fast cars and racing gave him the nickname "The Motor-prince". The City Race Arena in Gothenburg is located in the city centre by the Gota River overlooking the Gothenburg Opera house. This year's competitions gathered 21,000 spectators. Available video includes shots of HRH Prince Carl Philip driving and general views of the race.
